Paul and Sharon Eichler of Mechanicsville welcomed the arrival of their 7th grandchild, Asa Locke Mello, on December 17, 2011. Asa was born at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in Bermuda, weighing 4 lbs, 4 oz, and measuring 16 inches long. He arrived 7 weeks prematurely. After staying in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit for almost a month, he finally went home to join his big brother, Asher, and their parents, Matt and Terri Mello (formerly of Mechanicsville) on January 12. Asa and his family reside in Bermuda and look forward to visiting their loved ones in Mechanicsville this spring.
