Claire Alexandra Bashore and Brian Edwin Bremner surprised their family and friends on April 18, 2010 by getting married at their engagement party, hosted by the parents of both the bride and the groom. The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Mervin C. Withers, uncle of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Gerhard and Janice W. Bashore of Mechanicsville. The groom is the son of Kenneth and Sheree Bremner of Ashland.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Glenn C. Withers of Callao and the late Mr. Irving A. Withers and Mrs. Gisela R. Tudor of Petersburg and the late Mr. Linwood Tudor. The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. Bruce D. Martin and the late Mrs. Josephine K. Martin and the late Mr. Walter A. Bremner and the late Mrs. Evelyn C. Bremner.

Kimberly James was the maid of honor and Kellee Bremner, sister of the groom, was the bridesmaid. Jacob Bashore, brother of the bride, was the best man and Kevin Bremner, brother of the groom, was the groomsman.

After a honeymoon in the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Richmond.
