Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carnohan of Mechanicsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Weaver of New Kent, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Marie Carnohan, to Michael James Kidd, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Kidd of Hanover.

Kelly is a graduate of New Kent County High School and Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned her BFA in Art Education. She is currently employed with Caroline County Public Schools.

Michael is a graduate of Atlee High School and Virginia Commonwealth University, where he earned his B.S. in Health, Physical Education and Exercise Science. He is currently employed with Hanover County Public Schools.

A July 2010 wedding is planned.
