Mae Carol Copple and Matthew Eldridge Stewart were united in marriage on June 6, 2007.

Mae is the daughter of Ray and Carol Copple of Mechanicsville and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Butler, Mr. Ray Copple Sr. and the late Evelyn Copple.

Matthew is the son of Mr. Eldridge Stewart and the late Pamela Stewart of Camden, AL.  He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mozingo of Prattville, AL. and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Stewart of Clanton, AL.

The ceremony took place at 5 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church in Mechanicsville.  Ray Copple gave his daughter away and Eldridge Stewart was his son’s best man.

Brittney Butler and Katie Tulloss, both cousins of the bride, were maid and matron of honor.  Other bridesmaids were Valerie Stewart, sister of the groom; Kim Wade and Lisa Kovacic.  Allyson Butler, cousin of the bride, was a junior bridesmaid.

Groomsmen were Brad Philpot, Chris Wells, Jacob Harper and the bride’s three brothers Rett, Joseph and Thomas Copple.

The rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception were held at Hanover Country Club in Ashland.

The happy couple honeymooned in the Dominican Republic.

The newlyweds will live in Birmingham, AL.
