Mr. and Mrs. Cary W. Davis, Jr. of Mechanicsville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Valerie Elizabeth Davis to Mr. Aubrey Hampton Brown, III, son of Mrs. Kathleen M. Terrell and the late Mr. Aubrey Hampton Brown, Jr., and step-son of Mr. Joseph Steven Terrell.

Miss Davis is a graduate of Lee-Davis High School and received her degree in Photography from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Mr. Brown is a graduate of Lee-Davis High School and received his degree in Economics & Commerce and Political Science from Hampden-Sydney College.  He is currently attending law school at William & Mary.

A May 2009 wedding is planned.
