MR. and MRS. DAVID DONALDSON DICKEN
the former Miss Amberlee Nicole Dwyer


Miss Amberlee Nicole Dwyer and Mr. David Donaldson Dicken were united in marriage on October 10, 2009 in Louisa. The bride is the daughter of V. Michelle Marston of Richmond and Ronald Dwyer of Dunedin, Fla. The groom is the son of the late Penelope Mize and the late Spencer Dicken of Mechanicsville.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father and grandfather. The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vanderpool of Auburn, N.Y. The groom is the grandson of the late Walter and Alma Dicken and Tommy and Lorena Donaldson of Richmond.

Sandra Jackson, of Richmond, and friend of the bride was the Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Tare DeBois, of Auburn, N.Y., Melissa Carpenter, of Mechanicsville, both cousins of the bride, Lindsey Watson, of Richmond, Jennifer Stitzer, of Mechanicsville, Stephanie Kastler and Jennifer Browning both of Glen Allen, all friends of the bride.

Spencer Dicken Jr., of Mechanicsville, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Douglas Harpster of Louisa, nephew of the groom, Joshua Dwyer of Goochland, brother of the bride, Thomas Inge, of King William, Chad Porter, Patrick Edward and Jack Polly, all of Mechanicsville, and friends of the groom.

The flower girls were Jessica Dicken, daughter of the groom and Morgan Tate, of Richmond, family friend. The ring bearer was Jackson Grubbs, of Louisa, great nephew of the groom. Marla Carpenter, of Mechanicsville, aunt of the bride was the mistress of ceremonies.

The couple was honored by family and friends at showers and events leading up to the wedding and a bridal tea was hosted by the mother of the groom at her home in Mechanicsville.

The couple honeymooned in the Western Caribbean, and resides in Louisa.
