Ashley Faye Estes and Scott Everette Farmer


The marriage of Ashley Faye Estes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen W. Estes to Scott Everette Farmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Farmer took place on October 25, 2008 at Mechanicsville Presbyterian Church. Dr. Carol C. Fisher officiated.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Stuart Nicely and the late Mr. Nicely and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Estes Jr. The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Tate, Mrs. Susan Pennell and Mr. and Mrs. John Farmer.

Jana Michelle Estes was her sister’s maid of honor. Laurie Gene Walton, cousin of the bride was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristy Farmer Smith, sister of the groom, Judy Nicely Cornwell, aunt of the bride and Kerry Martin Spruill, cousin of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Justine Stuart Walton, cousin on the bride. Emily Nora Smith, niece of the groom and Peyton Elizabeth Cornwell, cousin of the bride were flower girls.

Mr. Farmer served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Jason Burrell Smith, brother-in-law of the groom, Stephen Kyle Estes, brother of the bride, Edwin Walker Carmack and Joseph Kevin Tucker, friends of the groom. Junior Groomsman was Nickolas Augustis Wilson, cousin of the bride. Try Walton, cousin of the bride was ring bearer.

Joan Martin, aunt of the bride, provided a special message to the bride and groom. Andrew Tarantino was the solo vocalist accompanied by Dr. Ken Kraft. Marie Ehardt served as organist. Program attendant was Rebecca Fields. The wedding director was Tanya Cornwell.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Burkwood Swim and Racquet Club catered by Edwards. Tom and Jackie DiFruscio served as greeters. Music was provided by DJ Tommy DiFruscio assisted by Alexis DiFruscio.

The bride and groom enjoyed a honeymoon in Jamaica. The new Mrs. Farmer is employed by the Hanover County School System. The groom is an electrician with Farmer’s Electrical Company.
