The marriage of Shirley Frances Germain, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Germain, to Lance Corporal Kevin Dabney Sadler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sadler, took place on December 26, 2009 at Lebanon United Methodist Church in Hanover.  The Rev. James Witten officiated.

The bride’s sister, Miss Aimee Germain, served as maid of honor.  Bridesmaids included the bride’s sisters:  Ms. Jacqueline Burlingame, Miss Bell Germain, and Mrs. Barbara Madison.

Mr. Jon Sadler, brother of the groom, was the best man.  Groomsmen were Mr. Andrew Harris, PFC Tyler Holbrook, and Mr. Jesse Jarvis.

The couple was blessed with the attendance of many friends and family including the groom’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Berry of Mechanicsville, and the bride’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Metts of Jacksonville, N.C.

Mistress of Ceremony duties were performed by Mrs. Debra Mitchell.  Mrs. Jill Baughan provided the musical accompaniment.

The couple honeymooned at the Smith Mountain Lake cottage of Mr. and Mrs. George Condyles.

LCpl and Mrs. Sadler will reside wherever the United States Marine Corps sends them.
