Christine Ellen Gerow and Douglas Richard Vinson were united in marriage May 16 at 2 in the afternoon on a beautiful bluff overlooking the James River in James River State Park, Buckingham County, Va.

Richard Lucyshun officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Christie is the daughter of Judy and Larry Gerow of Waynesboro and the granddaughter of Bill and Mary Jane Gerow of Chesterfield and the late Dorotha Foster of Summersville, WV.

Doug is the son of Mary Lee Worrell Vinson of Mechanicsville and the late James Wilson Vinson. He is the grandson of the late Emma and Henry Worrell, Jean Vinson of Franklin and the late Tommie Vinson.

Christie chose her sister, Kelly Gerow, of Richmond to be her Matron of Honor.

David William Vinson of Richmond was his twin brother’s Best Man.

Following the ceremony, there was dinner and dancing. Music was provided by the Martha Bassett Band.

The couple resides in Luray, Va. where Doug is a ranger at Shenandoah River State Park.
