Amanda and Matt Gowin celebrated their wedding and reception with family and friends on June 25, 2006 at the Richmond Marriott West in Glen Allen, Virginia. The couple had a civil ceremony on Nov. 13, 2003 before Matt’s year deployment in Mosul, Iraq with the 276th ENG BN. Judge Thomas Jones officiated at both ceremonies.
Amanda is the daughter of Glen and Cheryl Seaman of Rochester, N.Y. Matt is the son of Dianne Gowin of Richmond, and Ernest Gowin Jr. of Mechanicsville.
Mary Logan served as the maid of honor and Michael Ihnen was the best man. Bridesmaids were Lori Seaman, Arnetta McClelland, Dorilyn Dennstedt, Michelle Steiner and Nicole Esposito. Groomsmen were Sean Dobbins, Shawn Lindsay, Joseph Butcher, Brandon Simmons and Eric Johnson. The flower girl was Veronica McClelland and Nicholas Corrado served as the ring bearer.
Amanda is a 2004 graduate of VCU with a BFA in Interior Design. She is a CADD Technician with Timmons Group. Matt is a 2006 graduate of VCU with a BA in Criminal Justice. He is a deputy with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Department.
The couple honeymooned in Montego Bay, Jamaica and reside in Mechanicsville.
