Mr. and Mrs. Orane C. Holstein of Mechanicsville celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Dec. 24, 2009.

Their party was bought to a snowy halt due to the 12+ inches of snow on Dec. 19. That did not dampen their spirits, their daughter had a small gathering at her house a few days later.

The couple has two daughters, Joyce Holstein and Vickie Holstein. One Grandson Travis Holstein.
