MRS. CHRISTOPHER ROBERT JOHNSON
the former Mary Allison Stanley


The marriage of Miss Mary Allison Stanley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Stanley, Jr. of Mechanicsville, to Mr. Christopher Robert Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Noel Anton of Ashland, and Mr. and Mrs. James Edwin Johnson of Midlothian, took place on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Church of the Epiphany in Richmond.

The bride is the granddaughter of Ms. Lynnette J. Shahinian of Mechanicsville; Mr. and Mrs. Shahin W. Shahinian of New Kent; and Mr. and Mrs. William H. Stanley of Mechanicsville. She is the great-granddaughter of Ms. Genevieve Jones of Deltaville. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McCord of Glen Allen, and the late T. Cal Johnson of Ashland and Virginia Meade of Richmond, and the great-grandson of Rev. and Mrs. W.E. McCord of Albany, GA.

Miss Cameron Clark, of Mechanicsville, and childhood friend of the bride was the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Rachel Johnson, of Mechanicsville, sister of the groom, Callie Beattie, of New York, NY, cousin of the bride, Lindsey Groome, Kasey Groome, Madison Stanley, cousins of the bride all of Mechanicsville, and Kathleen Stell, of Mechanicsville, friend of the bride.

Mr. James Edwin Johnson, of Midlothian served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Mitchel Stanley, of Mechanicsville, brother of the bride, Lee Johnson, of Richmond, cousin of the groom, Eric Grambo, of Quinton, Kevin Griffis, of Glen Allen, Darek McCauley and Daryl McCauley of Chesterfield, all friends of the groom.

The flower girl was Kaleigh Glasco, of Mechanicsville, cousin of the bride. Ring bearers were Chase Johnson, of Midlothian brother of the groom, and Cole Christian, of Mechanicsville, family friend.

The wedding coordinator was Danette Hodges, of Mechanicsville, friend of the bride’s family. Chiming of the bells was performed by Kameron Stanley of Mechanicsville, scripture was read by Elizabeth Buckner of Midlothian, and the program attendant was Logan Christian of Mechanicsville.

The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s family, was privately catered and held at the fellowship hall of the Church of the Epiphany. A reception of dinner and dancing, hosted by the parents of the bride, followed the ceremony at the Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel and Conference Center Grande Ballroom where the “Bak ‘N Da Day” band provided live entertainment.

The couple was honored by family and friends at events and showers over the summer. The bridesmaid’s luncheon, in honor of the bride was hosted by Mrs. Donna Farmer, long time friend of the bride’s family at the Hotel Jefferson.

The couple will honeymoon in the historical Williamsburg, and will reside in their new home in Mechanicsville, with their dog Annie Bea.
