Samantha Adrianna Marsh and Albert Neal Hollins, both of Richmond, were married on May 7, 2011, at Fairmount Christian Church in Mechanicsville. A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the Tuckahoe Woman’s Club in Richmond.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Keith Marsh of Richmond, and the late Mr. Woodford Christian, Jr. of Mechanicsville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Mahone of Chesapeake, Ms. Bertha Marsh and the late Mr. Louie Marsh of Mechanicsville, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rehrer, Sr. of Hendersonville, N.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Woodford Christian, Sr. of Mechanicsville. Samantha graduated from Atlee High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master’s of Teaching from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is currently employed by the Virginia Department of Education and working toward her Doctorate of Philosophy in Education.
Neal is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Hollins of Mechanicsville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Martin, Sr., Mr. Alton Hollins and the late Mrs. Jean Hollins all of Mechanicsville. He is a graduate of Atlee High School and is employed with Sealing and Maintenance Products in Mechanicsville.
Kimberly Rebecca Marsh, sister of the bride served as Maid of Honor and Laura Scearce, friend of the bride, served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Marilyn Hollins, Elizabeth Verlander, Mireille Truong, Candace Wilcox, Kari Belin, Joy Engstrom and Mary Catherine Bruffey. Courtney and Carly Hollins, nieces of the groom, served as junior bridesmaids.
Mr. Kyle Martin, uncle of the groom, served as escort to the bride.
The groom’s father, Ronnie Hollins served as best man. Chad Hollins, Kevin Hollins, Reid Martin, Ryan Martin, Keith Harvey, Todd Zyglocke, Beale Bradley and Matthew Rice served as groomsmen. Drew, Brooks and Owen Hollins, nephews of the groom, served as junior groomsmen.
Josh Hollins, cousin of the groom, provided music during the ceremony. Taylor Berry, friend of the groom and Stephen Wright, friend of the bride, served as readers.
A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents was held the evening before the wedding at Capitol Ale House in Downtown Richmond.
After a honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Richmond with their dog Huckleberry.
