The marriage of Miss Jennifer Leigh Moran and Dr. Matthew August Koenig took place Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Ke Iki Beach on the North Shore of Oahu. The Reverend Ronald Valenciana officiated in the double ring ceremony as family and friends joined in to celebrate the occasion.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Jennifer is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Samuel Moran of Mechanicsville.

The groom is the son of Mr. Albert August Koenig of Coatesville, Pa. and Ms. Cecilia Drager Germida of Morganton, N.C.

Miss Heather Higgins of Maryland, friend of the bride, was Maid of Honor. Mr. Geoffrey Betts, of New York, friend of the groom served as his Best Man.

After the beach wedding their reception and catered dinner was held on the lawn of the Ke Iki Beach Bungalows as guests enjoyed the sunset over the Pacific Ocean.

Both the bride and groom are employed at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Matthew is the Associate Medical Director of Neurocritical Care and Jennifer is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the Unit.

After the honeymoon in Kauai, hiking the Kalalau Trail, they have returned to their home in Honolulu.
