The marriage of Miss Erin Scott Levy of Mechanicsville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Levy of Mechanicsville, to David Alexander Cowan Jr. of Mechanicsville, son of Mr. and Mrs. David A. Cowan Sr. of Mechanicsville, took place Saturday, March 29, 2008 at The Manor House at Kings Charter, in Mechanicsville. Magistrate Nelson Whitt officiated.

The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene C. Jennings of Mechanicsville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin L. Levy, Jr. of Richmond. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hix of Caroline County, and Mr. and Mrs. John Hodges of Red Fox, KY.

The maid of honor was Keely Trott, cousin of the bride, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. The bridesmaids were Rachel Cowan, sister of the groom, and Charlene Hix, aunt of the groom. The flower girl was Amanda Vannoy, cousin of the groom. The best man was Thomas Hix, uncle of the groom. The groomsmen were Jesse Talley and Chris Lambert. The ring bearer was Trey McDowell, cousin of the groom.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at The Manor House. The couple resides in Mechanicsville
