The marriage of Holly Michelle Nunnally, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Nunnally to Chad Stuart Held, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Held and Ms. Jackie McCarty, all of Mechanicsville, took place September 5, 2009 at Westover Plantation in Charles City, VA. The Rev. Dr. Charles Nunn, grandfather of the bride, officiated the beautiful riverfront ceremony.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.  She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Nunnally of Mechanicsville and Dr. and Mrs. Charles Nunn of Pawleys Island, SC.  The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Held of Edenton, North Carolina, Mr. and Mrs. James McCarty of Richmond and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Snell of Mechanicsville. Great-grandmothers are Ms. Louise McCarty and Ms. Mary Jane Hill, both of Vinton, VA. 

Lindsey Kennedy and Whitney Hancock, friends of the bride, were the maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristen Hesler, Ashby Pedigo, Lindsey Lewis, Katie Rotelli, Katie Scott, and Kelly West, all friends of the bride. 

Mr. Edward Held, father of the groom, and Kyle Held, brother of the groom were the best men. Groomsmen were Justin Nunnally, brother of the bride; Brandon Nelson, Drew Leake, Dave Nicholson, Scott Zyglocke, Brandon Gibson, all friends of the groom.

Program Attendants were Sophie and Avery Nunnally and ring bearer was Connor Nunnally, all cousins of the bride.  Mrs. Kari Brueggemann was mistress of ceremonies.

The rehearsal dinner was held at Charles City Tavern and hosted by the groom’s parents. A bridesmaid luncheon was given by the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. Helen Nunn at Westover on the day of the wedding.  Following the ceremony, a celebration on the lawn of Westover followed into the evening under a beautiful tent provided by Scott and Lee Nunnally of Virginia Tent Rental, uncles of the bride.

Holly graduated from Longwood University in 2008 and is the Art Director and Graphic Designer for Lythos Studios in Richmond. Chad is a 2008 Radford University graduate and is the Sales Manager at Pritchard Brother’s Auto Auction and Car Dealership in Richmond.

The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and resides in Henrico.
