The marriage of Miss Katherine Lindsay May, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James C. May of Walkerton, to David Straughan Robinson, III, son of Mr. David S. Robinson Jr. of King William, and Mrs. Deborah H. Robinson of Walkerton, took place May 5, 2007 at Mizpah United Methodist Church. The Rev. Betty Jo Sims officiated.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Joseph May Sr., and the late Mr. Winter Franklin Parker Jr. and Ms. Shirley J. Stockberger of Richmond. The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. David S. Robinson Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Helmick of Walkerton.
Mrs. Doni C. Agee of King William was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Amanda T. Vincent and Miss Rebekah L. Bray, both of West Point, and Miss Lacey M. Hampton of Mechanicsville. The junior bridesmaid was Miss Madison E. Robinson, daughter of the groom. Flower girls were Miss Olivia C. Robinson, daughter of the groom and Miss Joelle E. Agee.
Mr. David S. Robinson Jr., father of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were David S. Thurston Jr., Waverly L. Cutright, Donald W. Kellum and Kenneth W. Wood, all of King William. The ring bearer was Jacob Beck, cousin of the bride.
Bridal Showers were hosted by Doni Agee and Lacey Hampton and Shari M. Beck and Hollie M. Goodman, cousins of the bride. The bridesmaid’s luncheon was hosted by Amanda Vincent and Rebekah Bray, along with their mothers Rebecca Townsend and Cathy Bray.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s father at Fontainebleau Farm in King William. The reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents overlooking the Mattaponi River in King and Queen.
The bride graduated from VCU with a degree in psychology. She is currently working with the groom, who is a real estate agent with Hometown Realty.
After a honeymoon in Lake Tahoe, the couple will reside in King William.
