The marriage of Miss Emily Grace Rowe of Mechanicsville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Rowe of Mechanicsville to James Michael Ford of Mechanicsville, son of Patricia Bender of Mechanicsville and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ford of Church Road, Va. took place April 16, 2011 at “The Farm” in Providence Forge, Va. Doug Grote officiated.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Wyant of Upland, Ca. and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rowe of Suffolk, Va. The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Caryl C. Pigg of Richmond and Mr. and Mrs. James R. Pigg of Mechanicsville and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Ford of Church Road, Va.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and wore a gown by Allure. Amy Tuminski, sister of the bride was her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kendra Rowe, sister-in-law of the bride and Sheridan Jones, sister-in-law of the groom. Marley Raye Jones, niece of the groom was the flower girl.

The best men were Randy and Billy Jones, brothers of the groom. Groomsmen were Philip Denny and Dave Main, friends of the groom.

The reception was held at “The Farm” hosted by the bride’s parents. Catered by Carters Pig Pen Barbecue. Flowers were designed by “Flowers by Mona Ray.” Engagement and wedding photography by Katelyn James Photography. Reception music by Bluenote DJ Services. The bride and groom would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Ed and Tammy.

The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents Al and Penny was held at Sportsman Tavern in Providence Forge, Va.

The bride is employed at Body Mechanix and the groom is employed at Dicks Sporting Goods.

The couple will honeymoon in Costa Rica and return and make their home in Mechanicsville.
