Mr. and Mrs. David W. Talley of Mechanicsville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Nicole Talley, to Matthew Blake Pierce, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark V. Snider of Marion, Va. and Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey H. Pierce of Mechanicsville.

Sarah is the granddaughter of Mrs. Elizabeth T. Mundie and the late Gordon G. Mundie Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. John W. Talley, all of Mechanicsville.

Matt is the grandson of Mrs. Oolah B. Moore and the late Charles E. Moore of Marion, Va., and Mr. and Mrs. Darnell Pierce of Aylett, Va.

Sarah is a 2011 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University of Dentistry with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Matt is studying towards a degree in Information Technology and is currently employed by Wells Fargo.

An April 2012 wedding is planned at the Historic Mankin Mansion.
