Harry and Marcia Thomas of Mechanicsville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Rebecca Byrd (Becky) to Travis Scott King, son of Herbert and Wanda King of Warsaw.

Becky is a 2002 graduate of Lee-Davis High School and a 2006 graduate of Virginia Tech with a BS degree in Human Nutrition Foods and Exercise. She is presently enrolled in Bon Secours Memorial School of Nursing and will graduate as an RN in August, 2009.

Scott is a 2003 graduate of Rappahannock High School and is the owner of TSK Construction.

The couple became engaged December 8, 2007 and will be married on August 23, 2008 at The Liberty at Compass Quay in Urbanna, Va.
