Miss Lauren Keely Trott and Mr. Joseph Michael Scalzi


The marriage of Miss Lauren Keely Trott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby W. Martin of Mechanicsville and Mr. and Mrs. John W. Trott of Manaquin, to Mr. Joseph Michael Scalzi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph F. Scalzi Jr. of Hampton took place on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at the gardens of the Edgar Allen Poe Museum in Richmond. The Reverend Patrick Johnson officiated.

The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene C. Jennings of Mechanicsville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter A. Trott Jr. of Richmond. The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Lucille Conard and the late Mr. Dwight Conard of Spokane, WA. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph F. Scalzi Sr. of Los Angeles, CA.

Miss Kameron Proud of Myrtle Beach, SC., friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Erin Cowan of Mechanicsville, cousin of the bride, and Miss Bethany Oliver of Hampton, sister of the groom.

Mr. Andrew Scalzi of Hampton, brother of the groom, was the best man. The groomsmen, all long-time friends of the groom, were Mr. Tommy Pelfrey of Myrtle Beach, Mr. Jon Coltrain and Mr. James Hall, both of Hampton.

The flower girls, nieces of the groom, were Miss Skylar Johnson of Hampton and Miss Ashtyn Scalzi of Conway, SC. Justin Johnson of Hampton and Dylan Roscopf of Oceanside, CA. nephews of the groom, served as ring bearers. Mrs. Rebecca J. Levy of Mechanicsville, aunt and godmother of the bride, was the reader. The program attendants were Mrs. Tina Hobbs of Killeen, TX. and Miss Julianne Scalzi of Gilboa, NY., sisters of the groom.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at Main Street Station in Richmond.
