Mrs. Frances Lynn Uber of Mechanicsville is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Cheryl Lynn Uber, daughter of the late Dale Howard Uber, to Robert Ray Snyder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ray Snyder Jr. of Mechanicsville.  

The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Joan Joly and the late Mr. Bernard Joseph Joly of Mechanicsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Uber of Teaneck, NJ.  

The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Marie Franklin of Lynchburg, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ray Snyder Sr. of Richmond.  The couple became engaged on June 20, 2007 and a Sept. 13th wedding is planned.
