The marriage of Miss Alexandra Nicole VanZile, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff VanZile of Bumpass, to Matthew Lawson Prosser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Prosser of Richmond, took place September 20, 2008, at St. Andrew’s By-the-Sea Episcopal Church. The Rev. Edwin Bishop officiated.

The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Flora Webster of Mechanicsville and the late Mr. Harvey Webster, and Mrs. Doris VanZile of Mechanicsville and the late Mr. Thorney VanZile Jr.  The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. Lawson Johnson and the late Mrs. Lorelle Johnson, both formerly of Short Pump, and Mrs. Melba Prosser of Nashville, TN., and the late Mr. James Prosser.

Ms. Casey Pollard was maid of honor and Ms. Laura Hite was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Meredyth Thurston, Ms. Samantha Jacobson, Ms. Martha Prosser, and Mrs. Brad Shaulis. Mr. Lonnie Prosser and Mr. John Lambert, served as best men. Groomsmen were Mr. Jeff VanZile Jr., Mr. Michael Marmer, Mr. Harold Singh, and Mr. Robert Jones III. Ms. Nichole Fain attended the guest book.
