The marriage of Julie Marie Walton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Clary Walton, of Drewryville, Va., to Daniel Pierce Baybutt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mark Baybutt of Mechanicsville, took place on Oct. 9, 2010, on the beach at Nags Head, N.C. 

The reception was held immediately following the ceremony at The Village Beach Club. 

The Reverend James Michael Smith officiated.

Julie is the granddaughter of Mrs. Elsie C. Walton and the late Mr. John Shelton Walton of Drewryville, the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin E. Felton of Capron and the great granddaughter of Mrs. Annie Clary of Lawrenceville. 

Daniel is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Baybutt of Greenville, N.C., the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin P. Young, Jr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Waverly G. King, Jr. of Richmond. 

The best man was Kenneth M. Baybutt, father of the groom.

Groomsmen were Robert S. Baybutt, brother of the groom; William Kyle Bishop and John M. Niess, friends of the groom; and Adam E. Whitehead, brother of the bride.

Ring bearer was William U. Bradbury, cousin of the bride.

The matron of honor was Lindsey F. Rush, the maid of honor was Megan B. Everett and the bridesmaids were Courtney G. Moseley and Candice N. Cobb, friends of the bride; and Stephanie M. Fetherolf, fiancée of the bride’s brother. 

Flower girl was Alisabeth A. Griffith, cousin of the bride.

The newlyweds traveled to St. Lucia for their honeymoon. 

They will reside in Mechanicsville, where they are both employed by Bon Secours Health System.
