James and Karen White of Mechanicsville, are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, James Roland White, Jr., to Leigh Marie Manning.

Leigh is the daughter of Marcia Manning of Virginia Beach, Va., and Linwood Manning and wife, Diann Manning, of Chesapeake, Va.

James is a 2004 graduate of Longwood University and Leigh is a 2004 graduate of Old Dominion University.  A September 21 wedding is planned in Asheville, N.C.
