The marriage of Kaylyn Adair Wright, daughter of David and Dorothy Wright of Mechanicsville to Travis Ray Smith, son of Ray and Debbie Smith of Mechanicsville, took place on Saturday, September 10, 2011. The outdoor wedding was held at Celebrations at the Reservoir in Chesterfield County.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She is the granddaughter of deceased grandparents: George and Sheila Edwards, Martha Wright and Dave Powell and Otis Wright, Jr. The groom is the grandson of deceased grandparents: Raymond and Elva Smith and Joe and Sue Walsh.
Bridal attendants were Stacy Cottrell of Mechanicsville, Shannon Meadowcroft of Aylett and Laura Strang of Richmond.
Mr. Smith was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Alex Lambert of Mechanicsville, Ryan Lerow of Ashland, Drew Meadowcroft of Aylett and Cameron Smith of Michigan.
The ceremony was followed by a reception in the Azalea Gardens at Celebrations and was catered by Riverbound Café. Music was provided by DJ Jerry Strickland with photography by Nancy Topham.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Lee-Davis High School and is employed by Riverbound Café. The groom graduated from Atlee High School in 2004 and is employed by Fluor.
Following their honeymoon in Punta Canta, Dominican Republic, the couple has made their home in Mechanicsville with their dachshund, Moose.
