Youngs celebrate

Betty and John Young celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, June 23. Friends and family gathered for a reception and dinner at Deerwood Country Club given by the Young’s children and grandchildren.
They were married on June 15, 1957 in Aylett, Va. Betty is the former Betty Lou Mundy. They have two children, Terrye Kibler and Tim Young, and four grandchildren, all of Jacksonville, Fla. Extending their celebration, they will continue with a trip to Ireland and Scotland, followed by a cruise around the British Isles and Normandy, France.
Betty and John have enjoyed traveling to Alaska, Hawaii and throughout the United States, Canada, Caribbean Islands and trips into the heart of Europe.
John looks forward to his golf and Betty enjoys exercising at the YMCA and socializing with her friends.
