The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office needs assistance identifying the person(s) responsible for breaking into a van, while parked at a Mechanicsville restaurant, and stealing more than $23,000 in antique weapons and property.
According to Lt. Michael J. Trice, on Oct. 19, an antique firearms dealer had just left the Showplace on Mechanicsville Turnpike in Henrico County and drove to the Cracker Barrel in Mechanicsville.
While the victim’s van was parked in the RV section of the parking lot, between 6 and 7 p.m., unknown person(s) punched out the lock and removed the victim’s remaining inventory of antique weapons and the proceeds for the day’s sales, along with a credit card reader. The property was valued at more than $23,000.

—German Imperial WW I Sword (gold eagle head w/red eyes on pommel)
