Why is everyone accepting that we are losing our rights as citizens. Debra is right, she did deserve a warning. Guess the County is needing tax dollars to hire more deputies. Is that what we really want? I know I DON’T. Hanover cops need to work a while in Richmond with murderers so they can see what really matters in this world. Leave us law abiding citizens alone. As for the DUI arrests, I have seen drunk drivers drive better than some of these folks on cell phones. I about got hit by one on my way to work this morning swerving all over the road with a cell phone in his hand. What is the difference? You all need to wake up and get a life!!!!!
84 vehicles out of 1078 is a lot, that means that one in 13 drivers was careless about something and we know that in traffic these kind of mistakes can cost us our lives. Surprisingly there were only 4 DUI, this should be encouraging.

Good Job on the DUI arrests.. Should have stops everynight to keep them off our roads!

Debra, they are looking to make the big busts like your case and bring in all you hard criminals and don’t discriminate.

Well, I must say Ms. Baugh of Mechanicsville, that sure is one pathetic run-on sentence of an attempt at logic. Come on. You have been living in this area long enough to know the rules, and therefore should receive exactly what you got. It is one thing for an officer to show leniency to someone whom has moved from another state and is likely not in the know. The officer who issued you the citation was probably rolling his eyes while you were telling your story, and should be commended for not believing it. Good for him and sorry ‘bout your luck. Enjoy your paying your fine.

Debra Baugh is a good example of the usual complainer who wants special treatment. She has the same 24 hour day as anyone else.
It should also make us all drive more carefully, when we see that 29 people were found at that one place with no license. Too bad they won’t be taken off the road with jail time.

Get your car registered, go to court, and the Judge will toss the charge. But you deserve no special treatment, nor did the others ticketed, and if you think Henrico has any leniency ... think again.

Hanover sheriffs have nothing better to do than issue tickets for whatever they can get you for. A good example, being followed for 7 miles and being issued a ticket for an expired inspection that had expired only 3 days before. Talk about a waste of gas and time. No wonder Ashland was on the worst places to visit list, what a racket.

I was one of the drivers issued a summons and feel that i should have been given a warning to get my car registered especially since i just moved to Hanover County and haven’t been able to take time to renew my registration which i know isn’t a valid excuse, but, I should have been shown some kind of leniency due to that fact which i did inform officer of the move from Henrico to Hanover.
