Drugs stolen from Mechanicsville pharmacy

A man with a handgun robbed the Rite Aid Drugstore at 7019 Mechanicsville Turnpike last Wednesday of an undisclosed amount of Oxycontin.
Hanover Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Chris Whitley said the man entered the store in the Hanover Village shopping center and spoke with the pharmacist.
He then jumped over the counter and pulled back his suit jacket to display a handgun and demanded Oxycontin.
The pharmacist complied, giving the suspect an undisclosed amount of the drug.
The suspect was last seen walking toward Lee-Davis Road.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5’9” to 6 ft. tall, 40-45 years old, medium build, with brown hair and a moustache.
He was clad in a black suit and blue shirt, with no tie.
No one was injured in the robbery.
