New Mechanicsville Library’s grand opening set Sunday

The official grand opening of the new Mechanicsville Library will get under way at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at 7461 Sherwood Crossing Place in Mechanicsville.

The ceremony will include a ribbon-cutting and remarks by John E. Gordon Jr., chairman of the Hanover County Board of Supervisors, and Anne Cross, chairman of the Pamunkey Regional Library Board of Trustees.

The remarks and ribbon-cutting will be followed by tours of the new library, a reception and refreshments.

Activities will continue through 4 p.m.

The public is invited to attend.
