Several Mechanicsville companies will be participating in the 22nd Annual Richmond Home Show Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 19-20, at the Richmond Raceway Complex.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20. Admission is $7 for adults; children 16 and under are admitted free of charge.

Sponsored by the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the Home Show will feature several exhibits to help homeowners find what they need for any type of project.

According to Chris Grubbs, the show manager, these Mechanicsville companies will take part in the show:

“Decorating, remodeling and building companies from all over the Richmond area will be at the show giving advice on home improvement projects, from kitchen remodels to outdoor landscaping and everything in between,” said Grubbs. “Exhibitors will be showcasing great new products and creative exhibits that are sure to inspire.”

This year’s show will feature the latest in custom closets; home theaters; energy efficiency; outdoor living accessories; custom cabinets, countertops and floors; blinds and shutters; landscape designs; building systems and much more. Many companies also will be offering services that qualify for economic stimulus credits.

The show will feature a variety of entertainment for the entire family. Seven local interior designers will compete for “Best in Show” with holiday-inspired table settings. Show attendees will have a chance to vote on their favorite settings and get great ideas for holiday table decorations.

Former football legends Dexter Manley, Pat Fischer, Ron McDole, Charley Taylor, Gary Clark and Ricky Sanders will be at the show to meet fans and sign autographs.

The show will also feature replicas of The Munster Koach and Grandpa’s Drag-U-La from “The Munsters” TV series.

Parking is free. The first 250 people at the show on both Saturday and Sunday will receive a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit and one lucky winner will receive a full year’s worth of CFA chicken biscuits.
