Nettie P. Conley, 85, of Mechanicsville, beloved wife of James Edward Conley, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2007. She is survived by a son, Edward Alan Conley; three sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Forney, Patty Davis and Phyllis Hickok.
The family received friends Sunday, June 24 at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. Graveside services were held Monday, June 25 at Signal Hill Memorial Park.
Bertha B. McGregor, 88, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix; and daughter-in-law, Debbie.
She is survived by her children, daughter, Constance, and sons, James (Janet) and Howard; two sisters, Doris Spicer (Willard) and Ethel Kaufelt (Way); her other family, Hilda Walker, Diane Walker (Tripp), Jonathan, Beverly Starnes and Helen Harrison (Bob). The family received friends on Tuesday, June 26, at the Mechanicsville Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home. Graveside services were held June 27 at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers , please make contributions to the Henrico Rescue Squad and Fire Department.
Mary B. Floyd, passed away Friday, June 22, 2007. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred H. Floyd.
She is survived by her son, W. Doug Floyd and wife, Joan; a daughter, Harriet F. Kellum and husband, Joe; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and a nephew, as well as many other loving family members and friends. Mrs. Floyd had been a member of Mechanicsville United Methodist Church since 1950. Mary was an entrepreneur, she had restaurants in Mechanicsville, Mickey’s Drive-In and Baker’s Restaurant. She also ran Floyd’s Day Nursery, LaLeAn Rose Kennel and Floyd’s Grooming. The family received friends Sunday, June 24 and Monday, June 25 at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. Graveside services were held Tuesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
