Carl Randall Adams “Randy”, 53, of Richmond, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 8, 2008. He is survived by his wife of almost 25 years, Jane Ellen Adams; mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Don Fegley, of Ft. Pierce, Fl..; father and stepmother, Carl and Mary Adams, of Northumberland, Pa.; mother-in-law, Irma T. Stone of Mechanicsville; and a multitude of beloved relatives and friends. He was a member and deacon of Fairmount Memorial Baptist Church in Richmond. A celebration of his life took place on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Fairmount Memorial Baptist Church with graveside services occurring in Oakwood Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Fairmount Memorial Baptist Church, 4205 Ravenswood Road, Richmond, Va. 23222.

Raymond W. Burley Jr. “Bill” , 87, of Mechanicsville, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith; and is survived by his daughter, Jean Bridges; two granddaughters, Allison and Coralee Bridges; one sister, Evelyn Richardson; one nephew, Steve Richardson; and his beloved German Shephard, Penny. Mr. Burley retired after 40 years of service from Crown Oil Co. He was a WWII veteran and a member of V.F.W. Post 10657 and American Legion Post 244. The family received friends Wednesday March 12, 2008 at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., and where services were held Thursday, March 13, 2008. Graveside services were held in Riverview Cemetery.
Gladys Crenshaw, 97, of Mechanicsville, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday March 11, 2008.  She is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Farrell, and Glenna Evans and a brother, James Conrad.  Her extended family includes Donald, Carol, Steve, Doreen and Christina Mooney; Shelia and Samantha Miller; Ashlee Blakeley; Kenny, Lisa and Brittany Crowe; Nicholas Rockefeller; Judy Keiser; John Essig and the ladies of Pamunkey Junior Women’s Club.  Her beloved church family of Hanover Evangelical Friends and many others.  She will always be remembered for saying; “Hello Dear and God love s you and so do I”.  A service was held on Friday, March 14, 2008 at Hanover Evangelical Friends Church and Pastor David Crisp officiated the service.  Donations may be made to Hanover Evangelical Friends Church (730-9512) building fund in her memory.

Martha Louise Abad Dockter, 62, of Pasaje, Ecuador, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008. She is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Martha was born Nov. 15, 1945, in Quayquil, Ecuador, the daughter of Christian Missionaries, the Reverend George Dockter and Naomi Dockter of Mansfield, OH.
Martha grew to adulthood in Ecuador, choosing to remain, marry and raise her four children there. Proud of her American heritage, she taught English in Catholic and military schools and gave private piano lessons.
Her greatest joy was rearing her four children, Michael Abad (Tanya), Max Abad (Emilia), Paola Abad Pesantez (Jose), all of Pasaje, Ecuador, and William Abraham Abad (Laura Courtney McCauley Abad) of Mechanicsville. In addition to her parents and children, Martha is survived by her grandchildren, Max Issac Abad, Kamilla Michelle Abad, Ivanna Fiorella Abad, Maria Christina Pesantez, Dana Domenica Abad, Maria Jose Pesantez, all of Ecuador, and Victoria Alexandra Abad and Sebastian George Abad of Mechanicsville. Beatriz Emilia Abad and Aaron Maximillian Abad of Ecuador.
Also surviving are two beloved brothers, Paul Dockter (Susan) of Mansfield, OH and Timothy Dockter of Chicago, Ill. Martha also cherished a niece, Paula Dockter Foor (Jonathan) of Bethesda, Ma. and a nephew, Daniel Dockter (Jennifer) of Chicago and Fort Hood, TX. as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins here in America and Ecuador.
Martha fought a courageous two year battle with cancer. She was admired and respected by all the people who knew her and will surely miss her. Her family and friends in Mechanicsville honor her life. She was a kind lovely lady.
Martha’s funeral and burial service, attended by several hundred people, was held Jan. 7, 2008 in Machla, Ecuador and memorial services for Martha was held on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 in Morchester Villa in Mansfield, OH.
