Robert W. Sr. “Teeny” Enroughty, 91, of Mechanicsville, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2008. Teeny was born in Richmond on June 3, 1917, to Robert Joseph and Mary B. Enroughty. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy L. Enroughty; granddaughter, Dana G. Schroeder; as well as two brothers and four sisters. He is survived by two sons, Robert W. Enroughty Jr. of Highland Springs and Douglas E. Enroughty (Karen) of Richmond; two daughters, Jean Enroughty of Mechanicsville and Linda E. (David) Merricks of Goochland; granddaughters, Tammy Townsend of Mechanicsville, Diane Enroughty of Richmond, Sue McKenrick of Midlothian, Texas; grandsons, Robert W. Enrougty III of Florida, Douglas Enroughty Jr. and David Enroughty of Richmond; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Brianna Barcellona of Woodbridge, N.J., Stephanie Schroeder of Glen Allen, Michael and Shannon McKenrick of Midlothian, Texas, and Aiden James Enroughty-Snipes of Richmond, Andrew T. Townsend and Kyle Townsend of Mechanicsville; sister-in-law, Virginia Matthews; and many nieces and nephews. Teeny served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. He also worked for Nolde’s Bakery for many years until retirement. After retirement, he worked various jobs every day he could until 2007 at the age of 90. The family received friends on Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., Mechanicsville where funeral services were held immediately following. Graveside services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bon Secours Hospice, 8580 Magellan Pkwy., Richmond, VA 23227.

Warren Fearnow, 77, a lifelong resident of Hanover County, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 15, 2008. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Betty Edgerton Fearnow; his three sons, Alan and wife Donna, Barry and wife Darlene, and Tim and wife Paula; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Warren was a lifetime member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. He served as a teacher, deacon and choir member. Having been retired for over 20 years, he spent his time helping others, working in his garden and taking care of his family and friends. The family received friends Friday, July 18, 2008, at the Mechanicsville Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, 7046 Cold Harbor Rd., Mechanicsville. Graveside services followed in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Walnut Grove’s music ministry.

Anne T. Gurley, 83, of Mechanicsville, peacefully passed away at her home July 8, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Don Gurley. She is survived by three children, daughter, Daryl Carter and husband Coy, granddaughter, Dawn Thomas and husband Scott, great-grandchildren, Jamie and D.J., all of Concord, N.C.; daughter, Donna Lemon of Mechanicsville; son, Tom Gurley and wife Emily, grandchildren, Jon, Chris and Joey. The family received friends Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., Mechanicsville. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 14, 2008. James T. “Mac” McDaniel of Mechanicsville, went to his reward on Friday, July 11, 2008. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Ellen Aschenauer. He was a retired mechanical officer of CSX Transportation ACCA yard. He is survived by his wife, Maxine McDaniel; son, Charles Tommy McDaniel of Mechanicsville; daughter, Lynn McDaniel Wingen and husband Gregory; beloved grandchildren, Chloe Lan Ngo, Jaxx Thomas Ngo, and their parents, Tram and Cot; Tyler Durrer, Jessica and Maggie Peyton; sisters, Mary Helen Savino of Virginia Beach, Margaret Dale Flemming of California, Cynthia Prucha of Maryland, and Virginia Harrison of Charlottesville. McDaniel was a member of the Patterson Avenue Baptist Church, a deacon of Lyles Baptist Church, Wilmington, member of Sandston Masonic Lodge No. 216 AF & AM and Providence Forge Masonic Lodge, treasurer of Capt. William Latane’ Camp No. 1690, Sons of the Confederate Veterans, Mechanicsville. The family received friends Monday, July 14, 2008, at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., where funeral services were held Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Further services were held Tuesday at Lyles Baptist Church, Wilmington, with burial following in the church cemetery. Virginia Florence Mitchell Lohr, 83, of Mechanicsville, died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond. Born Dec. 11, 1924, in Suffolk, Va., she was the daughter of the late Frank C. Mitchell Sr. and Mamie M. Mitchell. She was the wife of the late Joseph Lee Lohr Sr.; and also preceded in death by a brother, Frank C. Mitchell Jr. Mrs. Lohr is survived by two daughters, Carolyn L. Lohr and Betty J. Lohr; two sons, Joseph L. Lohr Jr. and Barry A. Lohr, all of Richmond; two brothers, John W. Mitchell of Uno and Delma L. Mitchell of Baltimore; one sister, Ruth F. Riley of Rochelle; 11 grandchildren, Diane C. Enroughty, Suzanne E. McKenrick, Robert W. Enroughty III, Jacob Lohr Atkinson, Jacqueline Lohr Kahl, Kristen Lohr Edwards, Lauren Lohr, B. Alan Lohr Jr., Anthony T. Lohr, Stephen C. Lohr, Mary Virginia Lohr; great-grandchildren, Shannon McKenrick, Michael McKenrick, James Kahl and Austin Mosley. The family received friends Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., Mechanicsville. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 17, 2008, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison, with graveside services being held in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Rochelle. Elaine Goode Peace left us to go and be with the Lord July 16, 2008. Her husband, Michael Dehart Peace, and her two sons, Jason Michael Peace and Jordan Scott Peace, have received the great legacy of her faith. The family said they have been eternally impacted by her love for Christ and boldness to share His message of grace with anyone she could. Elaine is also survived by her father, William Robert Goode, and her two sisters, Judith Goode Kirby and Donna Goode Robertson. Elaine taught preschool for 16 years, and loved each child at the Cherub School as her own. She and her family have been so blessed to be members of Fairmount Christian Church for many years, where Elaine was very active. The family received friends Thursday, July 17, 2008, at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. Services were held Friday, July 18, 2008, at Fairmount Christian Church. Graveside services were held in Signal Hill Memorial Park.

Arthur Pleasant “Butch,” Roach, 63, of Manquin, earned his wings July 16, 2008. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Linda Roach; five children, Christopher, Paul, Alice, Kenny and Anthony; two sisters, Minna R. Freeman and Linda D. Stewart; also several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Butch will be missed by all of those whose lives he touched. He was a member of the Ashland Moose Lodge. A memorial service was held Saturday, July 19, 2008, at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 9270 Shady Grove Rd. Graveside services were private. The family received friends immediately following the service at the Mangohick Volunteer Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

Glenna Harriett Fleming Wester, 90, of Richmond, departed this life on Saturday, July 12, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Rex C. Wester Sr. She is survived by her son, Rex C. Wester Jr. and wife, Debra; three grandchildren, Aimee W. Turner and husband, Matthew, Cliff and Chad Wester; one great-granddaughter, Jillian Turner. Mrs. Wester retired from Union Theological Seminary after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of Northminster Baptist Church and the Alpha Class. The family received friends at Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., Mechanicsville. Monday, July 14, 2008. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Masonic Home of Virginia, 4101 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA 23223.

Temple Warren Williams, 85, of Mechanicsville, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Williams. He is survived by his four children, Jackie Williams, Judy Bates, Kenny Williams and Lori and Doug Brackett; three grandchildren, Christy Ruud, Doug Brackett Jr. and Cody Williams; three great-grandchildren, Johnny, Becky and Rachel Schneider; one sister, Hilda Stewart; and one brother, Sidney Thomas Williams. He lived a full and happy life, and was the happiest when he could go fishing. The family received friends Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at the Mechanicsville Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., where services were held Wednesday, July 16, 2008. Graveside services followed at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
