Patricia “Pat” Duke Creps, of Mechanicsville, died July 23, 2008. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Richard Allen Creps Sr.; and was predeceased by a son, Richard Allen Creps Jr. She is survived by a son, Jim Creps and wife, Charlene; two sisters, Mildred Tucker and Norma Toombs; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pat was the daughter of Mildred K. Beal and William G. Duke. The family received friends at the Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, Saturday, July 26, 2008 and where a celebration of Pat’s life was held Sunday, July 27, 2008.
Josephine P. “Jo Crowe,” Crowe, 90, of Mechanicsville, passed away Friday, July 18, 2008. She was the widow of Harold D. Crowe Sr. She was also preceded in death by her son, Harold D. Crowe Jr.; and a brother, Ben Parkerson. She is survived by a grandson, H.D. Crowe III; granddaughter, Melinda C. Byrd; three great-grandchildren, Parker, Ian and Brooklyn; and daughter-in-law, Linda Crowe. She will be deeply missed by a very loving and dedicated family. The family received friends Sunday, July 20, 2008 at the Mechanicsville Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. Graveside services were held Monday, July 21, 2008 at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Richard Owen Edwards, 69, of Manquin, died Thursday, July 17, 2008. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired painter. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy White; and daughter, Lisa Gaguner. Surviving are his wife, Debby L. Edwards; children, Carolyn Jones, Debbie Rubinson, Tina Smith, Teresa Watts and William Brooks; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family received friends Sunday, July 20, 2008 at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road, where services were held Monday, July 21, 2008. Graveside services were held in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
James Eugene Marshall Sr., went to be with the Lord and his maternal grandparents, Atwill and Evelyn Watkins on Monday, July 21, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his fathers, Archie Eugene Marshall and Lloyd Boothe Sr.; and a grandson, Timothy Hinant. He is survived by his mother, Martha Watkins Boothe; his wife, Deana Smith Marshall; his son, James Eugene Marshall Jr. and wife, Lisa; daughters, Valerie Marshall Hinant and husband, David, Jaime Smith Walker and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Benjamin James Hinant, Brooke Meredith Marshall, Michael “Jacob” Walker and David Scott Hinant Jr.; his brothers and sisters, Ronald Wayne Marshall Sr. and wife, Hazel, Debra Boothe Green and husband, Michael, Lloyd “Jay” Boothe Jr. and wife, Connie and Donna Boothe Edwards; also many devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Marshall retired from Union Envelope Company with 32 years of service. He was an avid rabbit hunter and loved his 12 devoted beagles. The family received friends Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the Mechanicsville Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Rd. and where a funeral service was held Thursday, July 24, 2008. Roy L. Miller, of Mechanicsville, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2008. He is survived by Mildred C. Miller, his loving wife of 60 years. Roy served his country in the Army during World War II, and later became an elementary school principal in Henrico County. A memorial service was held Tuesday, July 22, 2008 in the chapel at Covenant Woods, 7090 Covenant Woods Dr., Mechanicsville, Va. Memorial gifts may be made to Fairfield Presbyterian Church or to Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Agustin Sanchez, 81, of Venezuela, went to be with the Lord, July 18, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife Maria Luisa Sanchez, son, Agustin Sanchez, and daughter, Maria “Tita” Fuentes. He is survived by his daughters, Luisa White and her husband David of Mechanicsville, and Olga Crawford and her husband Donald of Henrico, his son, Gustavo Sanchez and his wife Josefina of Venezuela, grandchildren, Luis Fuentes and his wife Alejandra, Maria Del Valle and her husband Salvatore, Dana, Stephanie, Danielle, and a great granddaughter Barbara. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 25, 2008, from 6 to 7pm at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, where services will be held at 7pm. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, Greater Richmond Chapter, P.O. Box 27006, Richmond, VA 23261.
