LCpl. Jeremy Lee Tinnel of Havre de Grace, formerly of Richmond, VA, died Sunday, July 1, in Albu Hyatt, Iraq. He was 20. LCpl. Tinnel was born in Richmond, Virginia. He was the husband of Angel Nichole (Mergler) Tinnel of Havre de Grace. He is survived by his father Herold Tinnel and his wife Joyce of Sandston, VA. He is also survived by parents Amy Tinnel and Timothy Tinnel, both of Mechanicsville, VA, brothers, Stephen Delbridge and Justin Tinnel, both of Mechancsville, VA., and James Tinnel of Sandston, VA., and sisters Kaitlin Tinnel of Mechanicsville, VA., Christy Flowers of Charles City, VA., and Laura Tinnel of Sandston, VA.
LCpl. Tinnel served as an infantryman in the United States Marine Corps., for 2 ½ years. He was with 1st Battalion 2nd Marines, Charlie Company, during Operation Iraqi Freedom. LCpl. Tinnel enjoyed hunting, fishing, mudding, four-wheeling, loved his country music. He loved the outdoors.
Services were held Saturday, July, 7, at New Bridge Baptist Church, 5701 Elko Road, Sandston, VA, 23150. Rev. J.D. Sluss will officiate.
