Ah, but those Democrats!
By Ken Odor
Aug 09, 2007

But the GOP never seems to be as entertaining as the Democrats.
Sen. Barack Obama has been the butt of jokes all week long with his sizzling statements designed to prove that after two years in the Senate he’s a statesman already.
Let’s see, he would talk to whatever enemy of the U.S. who asked, without preconditions, invade ally Pakistan if he thought it would do some good in the War on Terror, and forego the option of nuclear weapons in advance.
Why not just give the rest of the world the U.S. order of battle while we’re at it?
I’m thinking it’s all a plot to make Sen. Hillary Clinton seem responsible enough for even conservatives to vote for, after listening to Obama flail around.
Now if she would just give up her lust to nationalize healthcare and abolish the Second Amendment, provide abortion on demand and raise taxes, we’d have that true conservative everyone on the right is yearning for.
After all, she started off as a Goldwater girl.

Wow, a prime example of what’s wrong with America!

This country is in turmoil, it is divided between the conservatives that follow blindly the incompetent ravings of two mad men, Bush and Cheney and the Democrats who want to help the American people who asked for their help in the last elections. Bush and Cheney have sunk this country into a debt that will take decades to get out of while at the same time Exxon Corp. and The Military Industrial Complex have made billions, wait trillions of dollars. Contractors have literally lost, (Can’t find), billions of our tax dollars. Now the military has lost 200,000 weapons that were supposed to go to the Iraqi police and army.

Ken, you seem to think a form of nationalized healthcare is wrong, so does the Bush Administration. Is it your assertion that 45 million Americans should not have access to heath care simply because they can’t afford it? Is it the Christian conservative right thing to do to keep 9 million children away from doctors and much needed immunizations? Are you proud that we are ranked 25th in the world in providing health care to our citizens? What kind of archaic thinking is this and how does the Christian Right support it? It is the top one percent of the wealthy in this country that preaches this and it is that gene pool of greed that is ruining this country.

Is it your assertion that we elect more Republicans that follow in the foot steps of Bush and Cheney who will without a doubt go done in history as the worst ever?? Do you want four years of old white men who preach family values while divorcing and then remarry younger women that could be their daughters? Do you? If anyone in the race for the White House exemplifies family values more than Hillary Clinton, I’d sure like to know who it is! She didn’t cut and run, she held on and they solved their problems like strong families do!

Abortion on demand? Wow, how wrong could you be? It is this kind of belligerent and reckless disregard for the facts that the Religious Right use as their tactics when they themselves can’t follow their own platform!

Taxes. Just how do you think that spending trillions on a wrong war is justified by cutting Medicare? They did it. The Republican controled Congress cut the Veterians Health Care Budget for nine yeras in a row! They cut Medicaid and Medicare last year. They keep cutting needed social programs for tax cuts that ultinmately help the Top 1 % far more than anyone else. And for the last time, It doesn’t trickle down! This year Hanover County cut Education for a Tax cut??? Last year the Republican controled Congress cut Student Loan Packages for college students. Do we really want Conservatives, especially when they only conserve money for the rich!

Whether it be a Black or Female candidate, this country needs a change in thinking, a more modern perspective and a different direction. We are the laughing stock of the world due to Bush! We no longer lead anyone in any category! And you sound like you want more of that?

As a family that has a combined 45 years of military service to this country and still serves, this misconception that Republicans are tough and Democrats are weak on defense is utter rubbish! Bush has let Bin Laden expand his power at will with absolutely no pressure from Pakistan. And you think that Obama?s statement about going into Pakistan is somehow irresponsible??? Going into IRAQ WAS IRRESPONSIBLE! The country had undergone sanctions and Weapons Inspections for 9 years and the Inspectors along with the entire world said, THER ARE NO WMD?S! Doesn?t it bother you that Bin Laden is still alive, free, still planning?

And the Republicans want to continue down this road to our destruction. Bush has ruined every program he has touched only to make the classes of the have?s and have not?s further apart. Our good jobs are leaving and the Republicans voted against Immigration Reform that would have eventually slowed the massive influx of illegals crossing our borders! Add the 45 million without health insurance and I called that a hard platform to stand on! Do you really want more of that?

Sometimes, well most of the time we do not hear all of what a candidate is saying, only the part someone setting behind a desk wishing he or she had the nerve to to say just keep quiet and complain about everyone else’s viewpoint. We spend lots of tax payer dollars doing this, let’s just put all the wannabees on the stage at the same time two or three times, let them say their piece and not edit what they say. Better yet, make them sign an agreement to do and prove they are doing what they said they would. Kind of put you money where your mouth is. Who cares if Obama has only been in the Senate two years, Hillary is whatever, Romney is a Mormon or Guliani is a whatever he is this week. Let’s put them under the gun let them make their pitch and see who comes out on top.
