Spending will not lead to prosperity in our nation

So Doug Smith considers himself a progressive. If he knew the goals of the progressive movement, he would run from it.

I guess you could call Karl Marx the first progressive. He is one of the guys that wrote “The Communist Manifesto,” that “wonderful” work that that has led to millions of deaths.

Josef Stalin was another progressive. How many did he murder?

Woodrow Wilson was another. Look up his history.

Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, “to eliminate blacks in the inner cities” (her words, not mine).

Mao Tse Tung. Adolf Hitler. Castro.

I could go on, but I think you get my drift.

The Mufti of Iran conspired with Hitler over the gas chambers and aided in the design of the concentration camps. All following the progressive philosophy that man can be improved by laws. Doesn’t work, never has, never will.

Death and destruction have always followed “progressives.” Simply put, take all the evil man can do to man. That is progressivism.

As for the surplus after Clinton, it was all smoke and mirrors. Take money from one budget and put it in another—voila, instant surplus.

Bush’s last budget had a $780 billion deficit.

Obama’s first budget left a $1.4 trillion deficit.

National debt is now $14 trillion. It is more than the GDP (gross domestic product).

Your portion is $800. Tax increases have always caused reduced government revenues.

I know that it is hard for some to understand, but history will bear me out.

Cutting taxes has always led to increased government revenues.

Spending trillions of dollars we don’t have has not led to prosperity. Never has.

It did not work under FDR, only extended the Depression seven years.

Did not work with Carter. It is not working now.

Look at Europe and the financial mess they have created with neverending government handouts. Coming here soon. Bank on it.
