(Please include your name in your email. One photo per email please.)  Gingerbread preschoolers learn about ocean life ingerbread Cottage Preschool enjoyed a recent visit from Ocean Encounters. Students were actively involved in this “hands-on” experience, which provided them with the opportunity to learn about various sea creatures. Each student selected a real shark tooth from the treasure chest to serve as a reminder of their awesome adventure. The preschool is located at Gethsemane Church of Christ and registration is open for the upcoming school year. For more information call 779-0101. (0) Comments • Email This Photo  Local fishing Story Forrest Parsons, of Hanover County Virginia, age 11, son of Denise & Jeff Parsons, landed this 26 inch stripper on Thursday (4/12) while on Easter vacation visit to grand parents. This was caught on Stutts creek (Mathews county) "Biggest fish I ever caught" said Forrest. He release it back into the water for another day. (0) Comments • Email This Photo  Jones donates hair to Locks of Love Mikaela Jones, a 7 year old at Battlefield Park Elementary school in Mechanicsville, donated 11 inches of her hair to Locks of Love on Feb. 21. Mikaela was also lucky to have her “Aunt Michelle” owner of Michelle’s Salon at 5606 Grove Avenue create her new look and be a part of her special day.
