Hanover County Schools Celebrates 2007 United Way Campaign Welcome to the Fabulous '50s: Hanover County Schools 2007 United Way campaign had everything from Elvis to hula hoops and soda fountains. Hanover County Schools runs a United Way employee giving campaign each year to help raise much needed dollars for the community and to contribute to team spirit and help employees engage in the community. From left are Lauren DeBord (age 14), Ryan Dudley (age 15), Dillon Erwin (age 12) and Jake DeBord (age 11). The fish were caught off the J-Mar with Captain Ferrell McLain (that's the first mate in the background, not Ferrell). All four anglers were awarded VCBA (Virginia Charter Boat Association) citations for their catches. (0) Comments • Email This Photo  Mech Rebels Donate 550 Pounds of Food The Mechanicsville Rebels Youth Football League, spearheaded by the Pee Wee JV team, collected and donated 550 pounds of food to the Central Virgina Foodbank as a result of a recent food collection drive. The food was delivered to the Food Bank by members of the Pee Wee JV team, coaches and parents on Monday, October 29th.
