Mech Local with the Salisbury University Sea Gull Thu. Oct 30, 2008
My son, Denver, and I in front of the Salisbury University Sea Gull mascot after the completion of the Sea Gull Century, a 100 mile bike ride on October 4, 2008. I completed the ride With Team In Training a organization which raises funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and supports their efforts to find a cure for blood cancers. With the help of my Mechanicsville neighbors, friends and family I was able to raise $14,553 to advance research to find a cure for cancer. I would like to thank all who supported my fund raising efforts and the support of all who have helped our family since Denver's leukemia diagnoses in March 2007. -submitted by Allen Bridwell

Lodging was one a small cruise ship that moved around the country with the tour. They toured many historic sites including the city of Arnhem which was the site of a major battle during WWII.
