CAPITAL DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIPS
Atlee’s Chris Pillow set a Capital District record when he cleared 16-3 on the pole
vault and teammate KalaPage won the girls high jump and long jump to highlight the first day of the Capital District championships at Glen Allen High School.
Hanover’s Marzae Brooks set a meet record by winning the discus with a throw of 158-8.

Despite only one first place finish by shot putter Shania Williams (34-8), Patrick Henry’s girls lead the Colonial District championship with 38 points after day one of competition at Glen Allen High School.
Ian McDonald, Sam O’Connor, Tate Houff and Ronnie Calkins won the 3,200 relay in 8:13.89 to help give Douglas Freeman boys the early lead after four scored events.
