Mechanicsville 9-10 squad takes state softball title

The Mechanicsville Little League 9-10 year old girls softball team captured the 2010 Virginia State Championship on July 21 in Yorktown, Virginia.  It was stellar pitching, team offense and defense that secured the state title The Mechanicsville All-Star team went undefeated in eight through district and state tournament games where they outscored opponents 92-7.  They defeated Bridgewater Little League in their final game 9-2 to win the state championship.

This is a great group of girls that played so well together.  Great coaching, great pitching, great bats, and great defense.  This will be something they will remember for a long time.  Thanks again to Johnny and Terry the coaches.
