The rain of Tropical Storm Hanna were of little benefit to most Nationwide drivers at Richmond International Raceway, but rookie Joey Logano could not complain. Without qualification laps, pole position was determined by owner points and Logano’s Game Stop/Rock Band 2 Toyota sat atop the pack for the Emerson Radio 250.
Logano, who ran the second fastest time in practice is joined out from by Clint Bowyer while Brad Keselowski and Scott Wimmer sit in row two.
Other notables are Carl Edwards in row three, Kevin Harvick in row four and Kyle Busch in row eight.
Chesterfield native Denny Hamlin ran the fastest practice laps with a speed of 123.689 in the Farm Bureau Insurance Toyota, but due to qualification rules, Hamlin will start in 27th place in row 14.
No determination has yet been made when the Emerson Radio 250 will be run if the rains continue.
