Atlee secured the No. 2 seed in this week’s Capital District tournament and will play No. 3 seed Lee-Davis on Tues. at Sports Quest in Midlothian.

The 12U Hanover Lady Hornets took 1st place in the Cavalier Classic Fastpitch Softball Tournament in Charlottesville, on October 10 defeating the 12U Eclipse in the championship game.

Local Burkwood 6.5 Combo Ladies team wins the title and championship for USTA Mid-Atlantic Virginia Combo Doubles.  All ladies are members of Burkwood Club in Hanover. Captained by Michelle Via.
 
 

The Lee-Davis Doubles Tennis Tournament was held on October 2, 2010. The Fall finalists were Angelina Sportelli and Shannon Heard. Our champions were Richie Noel and Richard Wilson.

All proceeds form the tournament go to scholarships for Lee-Davis seniors in memory of Willie Brooks Bost.

We would like to thank everyone that participated to make this a wonderful success. We look forward to our Spring Tournament in May, 2011.

The Blue Star Cowboys and Colts would like to invite all former presidents, directors, and coaches to our 40th Anniversary Home Coming Pep Rally being held October 22, 2010. The events will begin at 6 p.m. at the Hanover Court House Fields. Football games will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 23.

The Riptides 10U Girls Fastpitch Softball Team went undefeated (5-0) to win the SoftballNation Fall Opener Tournament in Chesterfield on Sept. 18-19.  Congratulation girls!

Samuel Justin Newsome, 14, of Mechanicsville, VA, has been named to the 2nd Annual Offense-Defense Youth All-American Bowl. Newsome, a running back and defensive end for Stonewall Jackson Middle School, will join dozens of peers in his age group nationwide in an East meets West clash that is part of a week long series of events leading up to the nationally televised, 5th annual Offense-Defense All-American Bowl.
